
1891 registered cover to New York franked 'Parisot' U.P.U. overprinted issues roulette 2ct. on 20c. pair and perforated 80ct on 1/2p. pair, both with pen crosses and blue despatch cds, registration hanstamp below, arrival backstamp; light vertical filing crease and some glue staining around 2c. pair. The stamps, as opposed to the stationery, are very rare on cover.

1891 registered Winch Brothers cover franked pair 10c. and a 1p bistre tied oval Registered date stamps, red transit below and arrival backstamp.

1891 registered ‘Parisot’ cover to Paris bearing four different U.P.U. surcharged issues with pen crosses and blue despatch cds, Jamaica Registered transit at right and London transit bottom right, arrival backstamps. Vertical filing crease and other slight faults but a most unusual four colour franking.


1891 stampless envelope ex Government House to London, endorsed “pr Amber Via Gibraltar” and initialled in the corner “W.B.G.” of W.B Griffith, the Governor. On arrival in London with good strike of Official Paid London E.C. cds. Faults to the periphery of the envelope, a rare Official cover.

1891 stampless cover from Paris to Tunis, endorsed "affaire de service/ Colis postaux", straight-line handstamp 'a percevoir' applied on arrival and pair 15c. applied with large 'T' perfin, one upright and the other inverted, reverse with tunis cds

1892 'Penny Halfpenny' postal stationery card to Belgium cancelled Bathurst cds, Paid London Br Packet transit at left, Bruxelles arrival cds and postmans handstamp; full message on reverse.


1892 'Winch Bros' cover franked 2 1/2d. tied with part duplex with another strike below together with 1d. paying the late fee with framed handstamp, Colchester arrival backstamp; fine and scarce.


1892 (12 Juin) 5pf German reply postal stationery card, used from Austria to a ship at Hong Kong with full message, reverse of reply section with Singapore to Hong Kong marine sorter, used back to Dresden, Germany with the added Austrian stamp and German 5pf image with pen cancels, Hong Kong SP 2 index E despatch cds, arrival cds of 10/10. Some splitting to join otherwise fine and unusual.


1892 (13 Dez) registered cover to Berlin, Germany bearing single franking 1890 500 reis olive buff tied S. Paulo cds, reverse with Capital Federal transit and arrival cds.

1892 (14 Jun) registered cover to Berlin franked 1887 15c. (2) and 20c. marginal tied by Asuncion cds, fine framed pink registration handstamp with manuscript number, reverse with arrival cds. Fine and attractive.

1892 (16/12) 7½c. postal stationery card uprated with two horizontal pairs of 1883-90 2½c. yellow-orange, sent registered to Mulheim, Germany, the stamp image cancelled by square circle Weltevreden date stamp and the pairs by ‘1’ numeral lozenge; without arrival, fine appearance.

1892 (22 Mars) 15c. Sage stationery letter card to Montreux, Switzerland, uprated 1863-71 Laureated Napoleon 10c. tied Paris R. Taitbout cds, arrival backstamp. An unusual combination on stationery.


1892 (Apr 7) stampless printed envelope to London bearing straight-line ‘POSTAGE PAID’ handstamp, to right a little unclear Bassa Liberia cds, PAID/ LIVERPOOL/ Br PACKET transit at left; good example from this correspondence.

1892 (NO 15) local Kingstown cover bearing single franking '5 PENCE' on 4d tied fine cds; some slight peripheral toning to envelope. Nearly all covers with this issue are philatelic with virtually the entire supply of this stamp bought speculatively within an hour, some stamps changing hands at up to 5/- each.
