1901 (25/6) registered cover to Wiesbaden franked overprinted 5pf. and 25pf. each tied Matupi cds with another strike to left, registration label, arrival backstamp; fine and clean condition.


1901 (26 APR) Hong Kong 4c on 3c black surcharge outward section of reply card to Germany without any Chinese adhesives in combination but with bilingual cds and with red framed ‘IPO’ , stamp image also tied index C Hong Kong cds, arrival cds bottom left, with message. Fine and unusual. Proud records no covers like this existing.

1901 (26 Juil) registered cover to Alger franked ‘Group Type’ 10c. and 30c. tied by very fine red Haiphong Tonkin cds with framed ‘R’ in same colour at left, reverse with Marseille transit and alger arrival cds. A fine and attractive cover.


1901 (26 Oct) 10c. picture stationery card overprinted 1900 with blue image of ‘Orillas Del Rio/ Pto- Cab, from Puerto Cabello to Berlin with arrival cds, French maritime Ligne D Paq.Fr.No.1 cds at left. The uprating stamp carefully removed.

1901 (3 Fevr) registered mourning envelope to Crete franked 1896-99 10c. in combination with Diego Suarez 40c. tied Tamatave cds, faint octagonal maritime date stamp of same date at right, reverse with Port Said and Alexandrie transit cancels of French Post Office and La Canee Crete arrival (23 Fevr); fine condition, Ex. Grabowski.

1901 (May 13) card intended for internal use to Wernburg, Germany cancelled octagonal violet Quezalenango date stamps, octagonal Guatemala to left with arrival cds, reverse with full blue image of crowd scene in town by well and with a dog.
