1882, uprated 5kop stationery envelope with 2kop (1875 issue-horizontally laid paper) to Riga tied by mute Moscow town sub-office handstamp in association with Moscow Central P.O. cds, reverse bears red Moscow dispatch cds.

1883 (AU 4) 1d British postal stationery card used to London bearing Gibraltar ‘A26’ duplex with arrival cds below, with short non-philatelic message on reverse; some slight top right corner bending but generally good fresh condition.


1883, uprated 5kop stationery envelope with 2x1kop (1866 issue-horizontally laid paper) tied by Moscow cds, posted to Riga and redirected to Libava. Reverse shows TPO 85 serial 3 of Riga Muravyevo railway line, dated 14 January 1883. Earliest known date of this railway line by Kiryushkin-Robinson is 17 November 1883.

1884 (FE 2) 1d. postal stationery card to Lake Superior, Michigan, USA, cancelled by barred'C' with very fine red British Post Office Constantinople code C cds; long message on reverse.

1884 (SP 23) 1d. postal stationery envelope to Philadelphia, uprated 1883 1 1/2d. lilac tied '134' Bristol duplex, redirected upon arrival with Philadelphia cds also tying stamp image, arrival backstamps.

1885 (JA 20) 'Penny Halfpenny' stationery card to Dublin, Ireland cancelled by fine 'B' obliterator, Bahamas cds far left, fine rare New York/ Havana Transit 'opera glasses' transit, arrival cds; heavy central vertical crease, some adherence on reverse.

1885 3 Half Pence postal stationery card to Hannover, Germany, bearing barred numeral cancel and red 'SIERRA LEONE/PAID' cds at left, as well as 'PAID/LIVERPOOL/BR PACKET' transit date stamp; fine and clean condition.

1886 'Penny Halfpenny' grey postal stationery card to England cancelled "GAMBIA PAID" code C cds with another strike below, with message requesting the sending of various vegetable seeds.

1887 (4 Jun) 3c. stationery card to Puerto Cabello, Venezuela with bottom left blue despatch cds of San Salvador, images both cancelled by Transito Panama transit cancels; some slight toning but still an attractive item.

1887 ‘Penny Halfpenny’ grey postal stationery card to England cancelled GAMBIA PAID cds with another strike bottom left which is overstruck by Paid/ Liverpool, Br. Packet datestamp. A short message requesting a Jewellery catalogue, good condition.


1888 5c. postal stationery envelope endorsed “Impresos” to Bremen cancelled by oval violet FRANCA handstamp, Correos Puerto Plata cds at left, reverse with New York transit and arrival; a fine condition printed matter rate item, Ex Krug.


1888(SP 3) 1 ½d. postal stationery card with Kingstown cds repeated at centre, framed TOO LATE handstamp at right, blue Transito Panama and Transito Colon date stamps of 26 Set, Valparaiso Chile cds of 21 Oct bottom right and Rio De Janeiro date stamps front and back of 14 Nov, the front Tarde and reverse Manha, ornate framed Domicilio date stamp of 22 Nove; interesting item.

1889 (23/9) 2Kr postal stationery card sent registered to Brno uprated with vertical pair Coat of Arms 5k. red, litho printing, perf 10½, cancelled K.K.Milit Post V ZENICA, straight-line RECOM bottom left, fine arrival date stamp at right. A small tear it top margin otherwise fine early registered item.
