1885 (FE 14) cover to Erie, Penn., USA franked pair 2½d. lilac, HO-HP, tied A26 obliterator and a duplex. With thick letter enclosed written on Flagship Lancaster paper and addressed as “at Sea”. Small fault at top of right-hand stamp.

(showing different position of surcharges) cancelled by ‘A12’ obliterators, St Kitts cds in association and London arrival. The 1/- 2d. used paying 1/- treble letter rate plus 2d. registration. Glue staining around one stamp and slight faults to envelope.
